I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1966. I started my creativity early as my grandfather is a master craftsman with wood. He makes carvings and handmade furniture from trees on his property as well as completely handmade guitars and grandfather clocks. My mother is a gallery quality painter using oils and watercolor on a variety of surfaces. She also paints beautiful mini scenes on Rhea eggs and does interior decorating. With that influence and a deep love for horses, I started my career in crafts in the 80's. Since then I have done wall murals and huge paintings for private homes, woodburning and carving furniture, boxes, stools, you name it. Although I have not had a formal education in art, I am capable of high quality work with just about any medium. I went into leather several years ago and still do it as a hobby. I began painting live show quality model horses in 1999. Resins are my favorite to do. My other half, Charlie and daughter Heather, have relocated to Northern Colorado in December of 2005. We have 3 cats, Anubis, Ashley and PK. We also have 2 dogs, Tex (Australian Cattle Dog) and Sirius Black (German Shephard). Jumala, our Noble Macaw has his own room now and sings Old McDonald... all day long. The horses came too. Sundance and Chevy are enjoy the drier weather and open space here. Congratulations to Alissia as she makes her way through college in Orlando Florida. We miss and love you. Here's a link to my online photo albums. |
