Paloose Arts Ordering, Pricing and Policies
General Information:
I produce model horses in resin sculpture and finish model horses in mixed media. Finish work provides a multi toned natural coat color of choice using acrylics, actual dry pigments and oil pencil. However, my books are currently closed. The prices below is to give you an idea of cost. All future commissions are via Private Treaty. Please inquire for pricing. Sculpture are produced from time to time. Please visit my Yahoo Group for available or upcoming sculpture. No refunds on pre orders.
Prepping defined:
Prepping a clean cast model is provided with your accepted commission on occassion. I prefer to receive models fully prepped. Charges apply. Additional charges apply for rough cast, seconds, models with excessive pinholes, or model that are poorly cast do require additional work to bring them up to show quality standards. Additional prepping charges are as follows:

Repairs: Models that require repairs such as replacing a broken/missing ear, cracks in legs or tails, holes in the model, missing resin from casting etc., is additional. Please email paloosearts@aol.com for a quote and please include a photo. I only repair models I have painted.

Solid Colors: Bay, Black, Chestnut, Buckskin, Palomino, Solid Gray, Solid Dun Color (Dapples, primitive markings, wild horse markings or white marks other than socks and a small face markings will be additional.)

Appaloosa or Paint Horses: Includes minimal white Sabino, Overo and lace blanket Appaloosas to Lace Frame Overos and Varnish Roan or Leopard Appaloosas. All patterns include hair edging, mapping, cat tracks where applicable, ermine spots and multi color on hooves as applies.
Appaloosa or Paint horse are Private Treaty only. Prices for Appaloosa or Paint horses start at $250.00 for a stablemate and $500 and up for traditional. Please send a photo and I'll give you a quote:
Roans: Roaning is done via mixed media all by hand. The actual base color of the horse is painted first to ensure your roan is not flat! This includes corn spots, brands and white markings as stated in solid color prices. You can choose to roan any solid color horse. Base coats for Grays would be in this price category. Roan or Gray horses are Private Treaty only. Prices with no white other than socks or blaze start at $300 for stablemates and $500 for traditional. With white please email for quote:
Booking your Order
Orders are first come, first serve based on available paint slots. No money is ever required up front for those who have models shipping to the studio immediately. Your model is your deposit and you receive your paint slot when the model is in the studio. Slots are held for 7 days while the model is in route unless you are waiting for a casting to ship from a sculptor.
If you would like to hold a future spot a small non refundable deposit of $75.00 is required.
Once your model is complete, approval photos are sent before sealing. At that time, the model will be ready within 2 days and ships upon payment.
Payments: I accept Pay Pal, checks or money orders. Sometimes trades are accepted with prior approval.
Time Payments: Time payments are accepted based on the guidelines listed below. A 10% minimum deposit is required and you absolutely MUST sign a contract outlining our agreement. Your 10% deposit is NOT refundable. Any additional payments may be given as a studio credit, less costs, per the discretion of Paloose Arts.
